How in the World?

INSTRUCTOR Erik de Buhr
Age Range 8-10 years old
Schedule Tuesdays, Block 3, 2p – 3:15p
Description Have you ever taken the time to ponder how the things we use everyday work? We all use man-made inventions to meet our needs for shelter, transportation, food, communication, entertainment, etc. As a group and individually, we will explore the human constructed world and learn why things work well, and maybe occasionally why they don’t. To do this we will do research, experiments, and field trips to learn how things are made and how they work!
Important Notes None.
Prerequisite None.
Homework Some, not much.
Parents Yes, will probably need help with field trips, or if some parents want to also help run and set up experiments that would be welcome too.
Material/Lab Fee Might be a small fee for materials.
