Age Range 8-10 yrs
Schedule Tuesdays, Block 1, Loft, 10a – 11:15a
Description This class will focus on:

  • Activities and watercolor processes;
  • the color wheel;
  • basic watercolor strokes, styles, wet/ dry painting techniques;
  • basic drawing;
  • still life water color reproductions;
  • outdoor painting, (weather permitting);
  • mixed medium; and
  • crayon resist with watercolor techniques.
Important Notes Students need to bring:1 set of water colors,
3 watercolor brushes ~ small, medium, large
2 small plastic container for water,
1 9×12 pad of watercolor paper,
1 #2 pencil,
1 eraser,
1 white, or yellow, or pink crayon
( If any of these items are a problem, I have some to share )
Prerequisite None.
Homework None.  This class is for beginning students. Homework will be decided upon after the competency and ability of each student has been determined.
Parents Parents do not need to stay. If parents choose to stay, they can assist with set up, activity process and clean up.
Class Cost Members: FREE. Non-Members: $100
Material/Lab Fee $20. To be used for higher quality paper for a final project, and some specialized water color mediums.
